Coupeville Club

The Coupeville Boys & Girls Club is located in the 2nd oldest town in the State of Washington. In 1852, Captain Thomas Coupe founded Coupeville.  The Coupeville Boys & Girls Club opened its door to the youth on February 14th, 2006 and had only 7 members, the numbers grew and quickly multiplied. To date, the Coupeville Club has approximately 325 members involved in before and after school programs with an average of up to 50 meeting daily in the Old Fire Hall.

Membership: Boys & Girls Club Membership is $30 per year. The Club is open to kids from 6 to 18 years old. Club membership entitles members to participate in Open Club for one year.  Membership also allows children to participate in additional Boys & Girls Club activities with additional fees such as Super School, day camps, summer camps or basketball. To become a member, please complete a Membership Registration Packet, which is available at the Club.

Scholarships: If you would like to join the Coupeville Boys & Girls Club, yet are unable to afford the yearly membership fee, or would like to participate in various programs, scholarships are available for qualified applicants (proof of income is required with this application and is for verification purposes and will be kept confidential).

It is our policy that no person be excluded from participation on the grounds of race, creed, color, sex, religion, national origin, or handicapping condition.

Holiday Camps

Our Day Camps offer more for your Club Member than a place to be when school is out.  During our Camps we take the opportunity to create valuable community connections and explore different ideas through crafts, activities and field trips. Each Camp is planned around deepening the club members experience with one of our five core programs.

Day Camps cost $30 per day per camper.  Camp activities go from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.  Open Club for all Club Members is open from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. each day we have Camp at no additional charge.

Our Super School childcare program is available during the school year when we offer a Day Camp.  Super School care starts at 6:15 a.m.  Super School charges are in addition to Day Camp fees.  If you have a punch card with us the fee is one punch.  If you need to drop-in your child for the day the fees are $15 for one child or $25 for two or more children.

Sign ups for each camp will be available at the Club the week before each Camp and, at least 7 children must sign up for the camp to be offered.  Camps must be paid for before the start of the Day Camp.

DAY CAMP TIPS

  • Bring Lunch: Lunch is not provided with Day Camp.  Snacks will be provided.  If your child will needs more food than just snacks please send it with them.
  • Wear Walking Shoes: Adventure usually means we will walk somewhere to explore.  Kids need to have good shoes on so they can fully participate in the fun activities.
  • Bring Water Bottle: Since we will be walking, the kids will need a refillable water bottle to help them stay hydrated.
  • Wear Club Shirt: (optional) Camp is a great time to wear the Club shirt and show Club pride.  It is also helpful when we are on a field trip to identify Club members.  Shirts are not mandatory, but very helpful.  If you are interested in purchasing them they are $8 or 2 for $15
  • Dress for the Weather:  Please send a jacket and/or hoodie with your child in case of our unpredictable island weather, it may be cold or rainy.
