During the school year the Healthy Habits program offers four seasons of sports. Each Super School site has their own team, which practices at Super School sites after school hours. All sports are dedicated towards overall fitness and health through education and self-awareness with an emphasis on fun, safety, and team skills. The practices focus on learning the fundamentals, team-building and school spirit. These sports provide fitness activities to youth of all athletic abilities, in a non-competitive style. During each season the schools have the opportunity to play each other on Saturdays at the Edmonds Boys & Girls Club.
Cross Country in the Fall! Our 2015 Cross Country season has ended! We had a great time and had around 150 kids participate. Check back in June for more information about Cross Country in 2016.
Lacrosse(Nov – Dec)
We had over 150 participants from 6 different sites learning the game of lacrosse in 2015. Check back in Fall 2016 to join us next season!
Rugby(Feb – March)
Rugby season has begun! Games will be on March 5th, 12th & 19th. They will be held at the Edmonds Boys & Girls Club(outside on the grass). Check the schedule for game times. If your child attends a site with multiple teams please contact the Coach at that site to find out which team your child is on.

Healthy Habits Curriculum
At the beginning of each school year we provide fun, active, and informative activities which allow our participants to learn new ways to live healthy lives. For the 2015-2016 school year we are focusing on healthy eating, using the USDA Choose My Plate curriculum. This program teaches the importance of a balanced diet focused on Fruits, Vegetables, Grains, Proteins, and Dairy. Our members learn about the five food groups and, when complete, will have a music video to help teach others what they learned.
Healthy Habits for All!
Thanks to a generous grant from Verdant Health Commission we are able to provide these programs at no cost for any child in the Edmonds School District. We have currently have our Healthy Habits Program at 6 sites(Sherwood Elementary, Westgate Elementary, Edmonds Elementary, Lynndale Elementary, Cedar Valley Community School and our Main Club).
If they don’t attend those schools, no problem! If you would like to only participate in the Healthy Habits program we can make that happen at no cost to you. Just complete a Boys & Girls Clubs New Membership Form. Otherwise, all you will need to do is provide transportation to and from the site for the time Healthy Habits runs.
