BGCSC Celebrates the Retirement of Bill Tsoukalas

Everett, WA — July 22, 2025 — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County (BGCSC) proudly celebrated the retirement of longtime Executive Director Bill Tsoukalas, marking the close of an extraordinary era in the organization’s history. For 37 years, Bill has led with unwavering commitment—expanding the Clubs’ footprint, deepening community partnerships, and transforming the lives of countless youth and families across the region.

“Bill’s legacy is one of service, compassion, and impact,” said Walter Hock, Chair of the Board of Directors. “He has strengthened every facet of the organization and built a team fully capable of carrying the mission forward.”

A Celebration of Legacy

The retirement celebration featured a heartfelt program led by Marci Volmer, with Doug Dewar announcing a surprise tribute: the soon-to-be-built New Edmonds Clubhouse will be named in Bill’s honor—The Bill Tsoukalas Clubhouse. The announcement deeply moved Bill and was met with resounding applause from the community.

In addition, council and tribal elders from the Confederated Tribes of the Colville Reservation, Lummi Nation, and the Spokane Tribe of Indians joined the celebration, honoring Bill for his decades of partnership and dedication to tribal communities.

Lasting Impact

To further honor his lifetime of service, BGCSC announced the creation of the Bill Tsoukalas Endowment Fund. This permanent fund will ensure continued support for future generations of youth, carrying Bill’s legacy of opportunity, mentorship, and hope well into the future.
