Life & Workforce Readiness

Our goal is to provide all youth with the knowledge, skills and learning experiences they need to succeed in life and work.

Building tomorrow’s leaders, innovators and problem solvers

We know it’s hard to dream about something you haven’t seen, which is why career exploration is key for young people to unlock potential career paths. Many paths lead to great futures–whether it’s trade school, college, military enrollment or straight to a career. Boys & Girls Clubs are kids’ first networks – the place where they meet mentors, hone their skills, ignite their interests and connect to opportunities.

You can help prepare our youth for the future workforce by:

Hosting Field Trips & Workplace Tours
Provide hands-on learning by showing youth real-world work environments.

Leading In-Club Activities & Career Panels
Share your expertise through workshops, presentations, or interactive career-focused activities.

Supporting Life Skills & Community Engagement
Help youth build essential skills like communication, budgeting, and civic responsibility.

Offering Career Exploration & Job Readiness Experiences
Create opportunities for job shadowing, internships, apprenticeships, and teen employment.

Mentoring, Volunteering, or Partnering
Make a lasting impact by becoming a trusted guide or partnering with Club programs.

Sponsoring Events or Donating Resources
Support youth success by funding programs or donating tools, supplies, or equipment.
