Empowering Future-Ready Graduates
At the Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County, one of our top priorities is ensuring all youth have the tools and support to be successful both in life and at school. After school academic support helps kids stay on track throughout the school year, while fun and engaging summer programming combats summer learning loss in areas like math and reading.
Academic Success Programs
PowerHour
Power Hour: Making Minutes Count provides Club professionals with the strategies, activities, resources and information to create an engaging homework help and tutoring program that encourages Club members to become self-directed learners.
Torch Club
Torch Clubs are chartered small-group leadership and service clubs for boys and girls ages 10-13. Torch Club members learn to elect officers and work together to implement activities in four areas: service to Club and community, education, health & fitness and social recreation.
Summer Brain Gain
Summer Brain Gain is comprised of modules with fun, themed activities for elementary school, middle school and high school students that are aligned with common core anchor standards.
Youth of the Year
Youth of the Year is the Boys & Girls Clubs’ premier youth recognition
program. One teen from each Club participates in the annual process, which
involves essay writing and public speaking. Each applicant receives a scholarship and one youth is selected to represent the Boys & Girls Clubs of Snohomish County at the
state level.
